Why the Cheetah you may ask why not a Leopard as you see on so many web sites, well as a little girl I had a dream of one day having my very own wild cat. My favorite big cat has always been the Cheetah she like the  Asian Leopard Cat rears her young alone and bears the tear lines to prove it, as does the Asian Leopard Cat and often can be seen in our domestic Bengal and is fascinating to watch it develop.

Over the years I have had beloved cats in my life, heart and home but that little girl’s dream never really faded it was just locked away until by a twist of fate, I was introduced to my first Bengal cat Kuki with her striking tear lines and the joy and fulfilment of a dream became for me a reality.

Now five years on and still totally in love with (and willing slaves to) these very unique cats, our passion here at Sunshimmer Bengals is to produce most importantly, healthy, happy, well socialised Bengals from top quality bloodlines, while striving to keep the beauty and wild looks of the Asian Leopard Cat.

Our cats live indoors and outdoors in our custom build cattery, having the freedom when appropriate of our garden (which is protected by a specialized cat fence to keep our cats safe and happy while keeping other unwanted visitors out) this provides them and ourselves with many hours of  fun, exercise, stimulus and tonnes of entertainment.

All our kittens are born and raised in our home and given heaps of  love and one on one attention, so socialisation is a natural part of their rearing and in return, reward us with their amazing gifts, their love and uncanny understanding of humans and in their learning teach us so much about their individual traits, this allows us to tailor them to the right future home.

We are proud member’s of the Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain and registered with both The GCCF and TICA
